I started taking photos for pleasure in 1985 when I bought my first SLR camera. In those days I really had no idea of what a successful photo should look like and for some years I did the usual big mistakes that beginners do like putting the main subject right in the center of the frame. With time and practise I learnt what to do about framing, light and focusing until it became automatic every time I used my camera. I have become very demanding about the quality of my photos especially when I have to do a selection for an online gallery. If there is something I don't like about my photo and I can't solve the problem, I simply put it away.
For me a real photographer is someone who uses a camera not a smartphone, because a real photographer first needs to see accurately through his lens what his photo will look like.
I thank everybody who shows that they like my photos and I will do my best to answer all your questions if ever you need some help or advice in your hobby.
